Recently, on social media, the Federal Revenue Service called on all Brazilians to attend the 3rd edition of the i-Nova Week, which will take place on October 26th and 27th, a Thursday and a Friday. According to the government department, the essence of the event is to discuss renewal in the tax sphere.
In this context, the Federal Revenue Service revealed major new features in previous editions. The event will take place online and will be accessible free of charge to everyone.

A look at the first edition of the Federal Revenue's i-Nova Week
At the event's debut in 2021, the Federal Revenue Service presented five new initiatives that simplified processes for many Brazilians. One of them was the Corporate Tax Network, which identifies discrepancies in the Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ) declaration.

Another notable initiative was the introduction of a pre-filled form for the Income Tax declaration. To access it, the user must register on the Federal Government portal and have Silver or Gold status.
A look back at the last edition and what to expect from the next one
The 2022 event brought up topics such as ongoing technological innovations and their implementation in government entities, as well as the influence of AI in the public sector.
They also announced the Transportation Receivables Program, designed for self-employed professionals in the transportation of goods.
For this year, the Federal Revenue Service anticipates, on its website, themes such as “innovation in the public sector, knowledge management and user experience”.

How can Brazilian citizens participate in the event?
The 2023 i-Nova Week, faithful to its past formats, will take place via the Federal Revenue Service's YouTube channel. The event will begin at 9 am and will run until noon on the first day, with the participation of Guilherme Almeida, Program Director of the Extraordinary Secretariat for State Transformation of the Ministry of Management and Innovation.
Finally, other experts, such as Mamede Lima-Marques, a computer science specialist, and Claudio Augusto Franca Batista, a tax auditor at the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, have confirmed their presence. So far, details about the second day have not yet been released.
