However, despite the substantial sum, according to Carlos Eduardo Rodrigues da Cunha Gomes, director of the BC’s Institutional Customer Service Department, approximately 88% of the amounts to be received are less than R$ 100.
According to the latest balance sheet from July, Brazilians can still claim a total of R$ 7.178 million. During the first half of the year, both individuals and companies recovered more than R$ 4 billion.
Receivables System: what is its purpose?
The Central Bank established the Receivables System in 2022. The goal is to ensure that citizens with funds forgotten in banks and other financial institutions can recover their assets. It is worth noting that descendants have the right to request amounts belonging to deceased relatives.
Furthermore, in this cycle, the service became available for verification in March. It should be emphasized that details can be obtained exclusively through the Central Bank's official portal. Therefore, everyone should ignore any other sources or websites.
How to check?
Finally, follow the procedures below to determine whether you have outstanding amounts. As mentioned, the system is intended for individuals and corporations.

In summary, the period established for the return of the funds extends for up to 12 calendar days.
