Beneficiaries of Auxílio Brasil will be automatically transferred to Bolsa Família, with no need to re-register
Starting on March 20, Caixa Econômica Federal will begin payments for the renewed Bolsa Família. The program, which replaces Auxílio Brasil, was presented on Thursday (2) by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), aiming to support families living in poverty or extreme poverty. The minimum benefit will be R$ 600 per family. In addition, new bonuses have been added: an additional R$ 150 per child up to six years old and, starting in June, an additional R$ 50 per family member between 7 and 18 years old and pregnant women registered in the family.

Who qualifies for the new Bolsa Família?
To be eligible for the new Bolsa Família, a family must have a monthly income of up to R$ 218 per person. Therefore, the family's total monthly income, divided by the number of family members, must be no more than R$ 218.
What are the new amounts?
The assistance will be R$ 600 per family, plus R$ 150 per child up to 6 years old. Starting in June, there will be an additional bonus of R$ 50 per family member between 7 and 18 years old and pregnant women registered in the family.
How can I find out the amount I will receive?
Starting Monday (6), the Bolsa Família app will be available for download, replacing the Auxílio Brasil app. Using the new app, beneficiaries can check benefit availability, the amount to be received, and payment dates.
Is someone who earns a minimum wage eligible?
That depends on how many people depend on that salary. The current minimum wage is R$ 1,302. If there is only one provider earning a minimum wage in a household with five more people, the family may receive the assistance.
How will the transition from Auxílio Brasil to Bolsa Família take place?
Families receiving Auxílio Brasil with an income below R$ 218 per person will be automatically transferred to Bolsa Família. A new registration will not be necessary.
How do I register?
Eligible families must be registered with the Federal Government's Unified Registry for Social Programs, CadÚnico. Registration can be completed at a local registration or social assistance center.

How to receive the benefit?
The person responsible for the family will receive a card to withdraw the benefit every month. Registration will also automatically open a free digital account. Families that receive their benefits through the Caixa Tem app, in a Digital Social Savings Account
Will receive Bolsa Família through the same payment method and may continue to manage their benefit through the app. In the app, it is possible to pay bills, make transfers, and carry out Pix transactions. The cards and passwords used to withdraw Auxílio Brasil will remain valid for receiving Bolsa Família. The benefit is always deposited during the last 10 business days of the month.
What are the new rules for continuing to receive Bolsa Família?
To continue receiving the benefit, the family must not fail to update its registration for more than 24 months. It is necessary to report whenever there are changes to the address, telephone number, and family composition – such as births, deaths, marriages, or adoptions.
There are also obligations in the areas of education and health, known as conditionalities, which were already present in the original version of the program. Bolsa Família requires school attendance for children and adolescents aged 4 to 17 from beneficiary families, prenatal care for pregnant women, nutritional monitoring (weight and height) for children up to 6 years old, and updating the vaccination booklet according to the vaccines included in the National Immunization Program of the Ministry of Health.
