Caixa Econômica Federal announced the release of the R$ 900 payment for users of the Caixa Tem app this Tuesday (30). The payment is linked to the Bolsa Família program benefit, intended for low-income Brazilian families.

Bolsa Família is the main income redistribution program in Brazil, benefiting millions of people. Caixa Econômica makes the payments, and the official schedule is determined according to the last NIS (Social Identification Number) digit of those enrolled.

Who is eligible for the R$ 900 Caixa Tem payment?
The R$ 900 Caixa Tem payment is intended for families participating in the Bolsa Família program who have two children up to 6 years old.
This is because, in addition to the minimum benefit amount, there is an increase from the Early Childhood Benefit, which offers a payment of R$ 150 for each child up to 6 years old. Thus, the family can accumulate the benefits and receive a payment of R$ 900.
It is important to note that, this Tuesday, beneficiaries whose NIS ends with the number 9 will receive the payment.
Beneficiaries can receive the payment through the Caixa Tem app, available for Android and iOS devices. With it, they can make bank transfers, make PIX payments, pay bills, top up their mobile phone, and access various banking services.
In addition, Caixa also provides other service channels for beneficiaries to access the payment:
– Lottery outlets;
– Bolsa Família or Auxílio Brasil card;
– Cardless withdrawal at an ATM using a code generated by the Caixa Tem app.
New increases will begin to be paid in June
Wellington Dias, Minister of Social Development, confirmed that starting in June, new increases will be paid to Bolsa Família beneficiaries.
Thus, in the next payment, pregnant women and people between 7 and 18 years old will also receive a bonus in the benefit. For these groups, the additional amount will be R$ 50.

Dias also announced measures to ensure that families receive a minimum of R$ 142 per person through Bolsa Família. Therefore, if the amount of R$ 600 is not sufficient to guarantee the individual minimum, an additional bonus will be added.
The new Bolsa Família bonus measures are bringing greater equity to income distribution, since larger families receive a higher benefit amount.
Who is entitled to receive Bolsa Família?
Bolsa Família is a Federal Government assistance program intended for low-income families. Therefore, the program's main requirement
is to have a monthly family income of up to R$ 218 per person.
Those who meet this rule must register with CadÚnico to access the benefit. This is because the Federal Government identifies families eligible for the benefit through it.
To enroll, you must go to the nearest CRAS (Reference and Social Assistance Center) with the personal documents of the family members.
Then, all you have to do is wait for a new government selection, since the benefit is granted automatically.
Payment schedule
The May Bolsa Família payment is coming to an end. However, disbursement is still pending for two new groups of beneficiaries. This Tuesday, those whose NIS ends in the number 0 will receive it.
