A new disclosure from the Central Bank (BC) revealed that 41.5 million individuals have the opportunity to recover money forgotten in financial institutions through the Receivables System (SVR). However, only 30% of these people have redeemed it so far. This means that more than 28 million (70%) still have amounts to receive, totaling more than R$ 3.6 billion returned.
BC data also shows the distribution of these amounts: 62.55% have from R$ 0 to R$ 10 to redeem; 26.10% can withdraw between R$ 10.01 and R$ 100; 9.98% have from R$ 100.01 to R$ 1,000.00; and 1.37% have amounts above R$ 1,000.00 to receive.

Withdrawals began in March, and it is still possible to request redemption for those who have not yet done so. The SVR system will continue operating without planned interruptions, ensuring the opportunity for everyone to access their funds.
Sources of forgotten funds were included in this SVR phase, covering improper charges, closed payment accounts with an available balance, accounts closed at securities brokerages and distributors, among other cases recognized by financial institutions that result in amounts to be returned.
Even those who have already received amounts may be entitled to additional sums, such as from closed bank accounts or refunds for improper charges.
It is possible to request and recover these sources of forgotten funds.
To request the recovery of forgotten amounts, access the website valoresareceber.bcb.gov.br, log in to your silver- or gold-level Gov.br account, access the “My Amounts Receivable” section, read and accept the Statement of Awareness, verify the information provided, and request the amount to be recovered. It is important to complete the procedure within 30 minutes. If the transfer via Pix is not available, contact the bank to arrange a method for transferring the funds.
