What does national legislation determine?

In short, Law No. 14,434/2022 had been on hold since September of the previous year by the Federal Supreme Court, as recorded by the councilors of Araçatuba. This hold occurred because health entities, both public and private, needed to assess the financial repercussions of defining the base salary for nursing professionals.

Consequently, it was established that states and cities will need to channel federal funds to make this base payment. In addition, the Araçatuba City Council determined that only those who earn less than the amount defined by the base salary will receive this monetary increase.

In conclusion, in addition to this minimum remuneration established for nurses throughout the territory, the Ministry of Health also stipulated that the working hours of these professionals will have a direct role in defining their salaries.
