News about Gas Aid: Hurry up to find out the details!

There will be no payments in September, but many are already seeking information about the October payment. The Federal Government offers the Gas Aid, a measure to help low-income families reduce the cost of cooking gas. This contribution benefits Brazilians' budgets, reducing expenses.

Recently, they announced the ways to check the availability of this aid in October. Therefore, those who rely on the Gas Aid can now check whether they will have the amount deposited next month and whether there are any pending issues or requirements that have not yet been met.

Receiving Bolsa Família does not guarantee Gas Assistance for everyone.

Introduced in 2021 during the administration of then-president Jair Bolsonaro, this benefit, also called Vale-Gás, was integrated into Bolsa Família, which was reorganized in March under the administration of President Lula.

It is one of the most significant benefits for Brazilians, since gas represents a considerable part of family expenses.

Thus, the Gas Aid is intended for families registered in the Single Registry with a monthly income per person equal to or less than half the minimum wage. It is worth mentioning that it is possible to accumulate this aid with others, such as Bolsa Família.

However, it is crucial to emphasize that not all Bolsa Família beneficiaries will have automatic access to Vale-Gás. According to the Federal Government, the distribution of the aid prioritizes:

• People with updates to the Single Registry in the last 24 months.
• Individuals with the lowest per capita income.
• Families with more members.
• Beneficiaries of the Brazil Aid Program.
• Those with registration validated by the manager, using verification results, if available.

This method seeks to channel aid to the most vulnerable families, according to specific criteria defined by the Federal Government.

How to check your Gas Voucher

Gas Aid beneficiaries receive the amount bimonthly, with the last deposit taking place in August. Thus, the subsequent one will take place in October, totaling R$ 112.

There are several ways to check your eligibility and obtain information about Gas Aid:

• Bolsa Família App: Open the app (Android or iOS) and select “Benefits” or “View Installments”.
• Caixa Tem (Android or iOS): After logging in, navigate to “Statement” and search for “AUX GÁS”.
• CadÚnico: Access the official website or download the corresponding app (Android or iOS) for consultation.
• Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship: Call 121, with your CPF and NIS (Social Identification Number).
