In 2021, the creation of the National Gas Aid added 5,123 more families to its list of beneficiaries. Find out who recently joined this social program!
The National Gas Aid, which provides the full cost of a 13kg gas cylinder to families receiving assistance, continues to expand. In Uberlândia, the Municipal Department of Social Development, in partnership with the City Hall, is constantly working to ensure that the population has access to public benefits.

In the meantime, the City Hall managed to register 5,123 more families in the program. Therefore, anyone who wants to make a request can go to the Municipal Administrative Center or the Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) in Uberlândia.
Eligibility for Gas Aid?
However, applicants must meet certain criteria to qualify for Gas Assistance. Therefore, the family must:

- Participate in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico);
- Have a monthly family income of up to half the minimum wage (R$ 660.00) per person;
- Individuals who reside with beneficiaries of the Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC) are also entitled to Gas Aid.
Amount of Gas Aid
The Gas Aid is made available every two months. Although the last payment was made in June, it will not be made in July. It is worth noting that the benefit is equivalent to the total value of a 13kg gas cylinder, with a price based on the national average determined by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
In June, the aid reached R$110.00. The subsequent payment will be made in August via the Caixa Tem digital social savings account, while the selection of families to receive it is carried out automatically by the federal government via CadÚnico.

- Integrated Benefits Board;
- Social Assistance Programs and Projects of the Municipal Secretariat for Social Development at the Municipal Administrative Center;
- In the 14 Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) present in the different neighborhoods of Uberlândia.
To register with CadÚnico, it is essential to present the ID and CPF of all residents of the household, as well as proof of address.
