Withdrawal from Bolsa Família without identification shocks Brazilians

Those benefiting from the Bolsa Família program can withdraw up to R$ 600 plus additional amounts at a Caixa Econômica Federal branch or any lottery outlet.

To withdraw the amount, it is important to point out that the beneficiary must present a valid form of identification, such as a personal document.

The person responsible for the family unit usually must show a photo ID, such as:

• RG;
• Employment card;
• Driver’s license (CNH).

Why is a photo ID important?

The identity document makes it easier for the bank branch or lottery outlet attendant to identify the person, allowing the Bolsa Família funds to be released. This mechanism ensures that only the benefit holder is eligible to receive the money.

This requirement provides greater security in the financial transactions of the Federal Government’s income transfer program. Therefore, bank and lottery outlet employees are instructed not to release the funds to individuals who are not the holders of Bolsa Família benefits.

However, under certain circumstances, it is possible to withdraw benefits from the program without the need for an identity document.

In the event of loss or misplacement of the personal document, it is still possible to withdraw the money by other means. The Federal Government has made online options available to carry out financial transactions, in order to avoid queues and simplify the process.

Online and remote methods enable Bolsa Família beneficiaries to receive the amount to which they are entitled.

Even so, it is highly recommended to obtain a replacement document as soon as possible, as in some situations, the person responsible for the family unit needs to be identified.

To withdraw without the card, the beneficiary can go to the ATMs at Caixa branches. In this case, it is necessary to generate a confirmation code through the Caixa Tem app. On the other hand, it is possible to withdraw the money at the teller if the citizen has their Bolsa Família card, even without an identity document.

Likewise, the chip card can be used to withdraw funds through Banco 24 Horas. It can also be used for debit purchases. With the Caixa Tem app, beneficiaries can make financial transfers, pay via PIX, pay bills, top up their cell phones, among other things.

Bolsa Família payments were made last Friday (05/26) to beneficiaries whose social identification number (NIS) ended in 7, through Caixa Econômica. Payments to beneficiaries whose NIS ends in 8 and 0 at the end of May are still pending, according to the confirmed schedule:

• NIS ending in 8: receives payment on 05/29/2023
• NIS ending in 9: receives payment on 05/30/2023
• NIS ending in 0: receives payment on 05/31/2023

For Bolsa Família in 2023, the Federal Government established some rules that beneficiaries must meet. Among them, young people in the family unit between 6 and 18 years old must have a minimum school attendance rate of 75%. For children between 4 and 5 years old, this attendance rate must be 60%.

In addition, pregnant women must undergo prenatal care. Another important condition is that the vaccination records of the entire family must be up to date. Therefore, the family must be attentive to receive not only the R$ 600, but also the additional benefits.

The additional benefits allow the family to receive up to R$ 900 from the social program. These amounts are granted to families with children up to six years old, who will have R$ 150 deposited into their accounts. Families with children and young people between 7 and 18 years old, as well as pregnant women, are entitled to an additional benefit of R$ 50.
