Bolsa Família is a program of the federal government for income redistribution for families in situations of social vulnerability. The payment schedule for October has already been released and beneficiaries are expecting to receive extra benefits.
It is worth noting that the program has a value fixed, but the Lula government implemented additional benefits for families that meet certain requirements. So, check out everything about these values below.
Fixed value of Bolsa Família
All families with up to ten members can receive up to R$1,400, a record amount. This means that each member of the family group can receive R$142. In the case of smaller families that do not reach the fixed amount of R$600, the federal government guarantees additional amounts.
Extra benefits of Bolsa Família
As mentioned before, the benefit has a fixed value, but it has additional values. See how these benefits work:
Additional R$ 150
For families with children aged 0 to 6, there is a bonus of R$150, which has been valid since March. With this extra amount, families can supplement their income by up to R$300.
It is worth noting that this amount covers a total of 8.9 million children who are part of the program, according to information from the MDS (Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger).
Benefit for teenagers, pregnant women and breastfeeding women
For family groups with children between 7 and 18 years old, there is the possibility of receiving R$ 50 per person. In addition, the additional amount is also valid for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
