Candidates interested in participating in the National High School Exam may request exemption from the Enem fee until next Friday (26).
As part of social inclusion policies, the National Institute of Studies and Educational Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP) – the body responsible for preparing and administering the Enem – offers the possibility of exempting candidates who fit certain profiles from paying the fee.
Who can request an exemption from the Enem fee?
To request the exemption, you must complete an online form available at portal from Inep. Among the profiles that can request exemption are:
- Students who completed high school in a public school;
- Candidates who prove insufficient financial resources;
- Students who completed their entire secondary education with a full scholarship at a private school;
- And people in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability, registered in the Single Registry for federal government social programs (CadÚnico).
In addition to requesting an exemption, students who wish to participate in the Enem will also be able to register for the exam until May 14. This year, the Enem exams will be held on November 21 and 28, both in printed and digital versions.
The request is being analyzed
It is important to note that exemption from the registration fee does not automatically guarantee participation in the exam. Candidates who benefit from the exemption must subsequently register regularly within the period determined by Inep.
The request for exemption from the Enem fee is an opportunity for students who fit the profiles established by Inep to participate in the exam at no additional cost. In this way, access to education is expanded, promoting equal opportunities.
We believe that education should be a priority in our society and, therefore, it is essential to inform students about opportunities to participate in exams such as Enem.
