About the new electronic voting machines

It is important to highlight that this total number of ballot boxes represents 64% of all new devices for next year's elections, as reported by Moraes.

Furthermore, Moraes highlighted the importance of the trials that took place throughout the year, highlighting that they established “theses to be followed” to guide the actions of the Electoral Court on certain issues in the following year’s elections.

One of the highlights was related to fraud in the gender quota. Throughout the year, the TSE ruled on at least 60 cases related to this topic, establishing strict criteria to evaluate, for example, fictitious female campaigns.

What are the advantages of electronic voting machines?

Check out some of the advantages of using electronic voting machines to count votes:

Agility and speed

Electronic voting machines speed up the voting process, providing faster results compared to traditional manual counting methods. This not only reduces the waiting time for voters, but also speeds up the release of final results.

Security

Electronic voting machines have advanced security mechanisms to protect against fraud and manipulation. Thus, the technology used aims to guarantee the integrity of the electoral process, providing confidence to voters and candidates in the final results.

Ease of Assessment

Automating the counting process allows for more efficient and faster vote counting. This is particularly important in elections with a large number of voters, ensuring that the electoral process is completed within a reasonable timeframe.
