About Gas Aid
The value of the aid, set at R$104 per family in December, corresponds to the average cost of a 13 kg cooking gas cylinder. Thus, the Northeast Region has the largest number of families benefiting, with 2,600,551 families, representing a federal transfer of R$$ 270.4 million.
Therefore, the number of families served may vary according to the price of the gas cylinder and the CadÚnico Cadastral Verification. The objective is to ensure that the benefit reaches those who really need it.

What is the expected value for this year?
The exact amount of the Gas Aid in 2024 has not yet been determined. However, it is expected to be half the amount that beneficiaries received previously. In December, the benefit was based on 100% of the national average value of the 13kg cylinder, resulting in R$ 104.
It is important to note that the Gas Aid benefits more than 5.4 million families throughout the country. Payments are made bimonthly, and the last one was in December. Therefore, there is great expectation regarding the amount of the next installment.
