Lula encouraged Brazilians to discuss debts

During his weekly live broadcast, “Conversation with the President,” Lula encouraged Brazilians not to be afraid or ashamed to discuss their debts. The president emphasized that the Desenrola Brasil program is a valuable tool for those who are in default. With the possibility of debt negotiation, the program aims to provide financial relief and the chance to start over with a clean name.

Benefits and scope of Desenrola Brasil

The Desenrola Brasil program is not just a debt renegotiation initiative; it is a step towards financial stability for many. With average discounts of 83% on debts, which can reach 99%, the program offers a significant opportunity to reduce financial burdens.

The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, who also participated in the live broadcast, highlighted these benefits, underlining the positive impact that the program can have on people's lives.

Future opportunities and actions

The Federal Government is preparing for “D-Day – Mutirão Desenrola”, an initiative to further promote debt renegotiations and expand the reach of the program. This joint action with civil society organizations, banks and other creditors is a testament to the government’s commitment to supporting citizens in overcoming financial challenges.

In addition, a new phase of the program was recently launched, focusing on debtors with incomes of up to two minimum wages or registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico).
