Banco do Brasil, through its subsidiary BB Seguridade (BBSE3), announced on Monday (7) that it will distribute R$3.21 billion in dividends to its shareholders. This amount refers to the profit for the first half of 2023, in addition to the dividends not withdrawn in the second half of 2019.
Banco do Brasil will pay dividends, equivalent to R$1.60 per share, on August 28, considering the shareholding position as of August 16. Therefore, as of the 17th of this month, the shares will enter the market as ex-dividends.

All shareholders with up-to-date registration will receive the amounts directly into their bank accounts on the stipulated date. However, shareholders with outdated information must visit a Banco do Brasil branch to update their registration and obtain their benefits.

At the agency, they must provide personal documents, such as ID, CPF or National Driver's License, as well as proof of address, such as a water, electricity or telephone bill.
How will the deposit process take place?
The form of the deposit will vary according to the origin of the shareholder's share. Thus, those who purchased directly through the bank will have the dividends deposited into a checking or savings account. On the other hand, shareholders who have shares in B3 will receive the dividends through the entities or brokerages where they hold their shares.

The dividend distribution decision follows a notable net profit of R$1.84 billion that BB Seguridade obtained in the second quarter. This represents an increase of R$311,000 compared to the same quarter of 2022. With such figures, the result exceeded the estimates of Goldman Sachs experts by R$111,000.
In conclusion, with the encouraging numbers and the dividend transfer, BB Seguridade shares grew 2.92%, being one of the biggest gains of the Ibovespa session. Thus, it is an auspicious period for BB Seguridade shareholders, a company renowned for its financial solidity, dividend return and low risks related to non-performing loans (NPL).
