Next Friday, March 15, a new batch of public and private sector workers will receive the deposit for the Social Integration Program (PIS) and the Public Servant Asset Formation Program (PASEP) for the year 2024.
The expectation now revolves around the start of payments for taxpayers born in the months of February and March, according to the new calendar confirmed by the Workers' Support Fund Council (Codefat).
PIS 2024 Calendar reveals start of payments for those born in February and March
It is estimated that around 24 million workers will be entitled to the benefit throughout this year, totaling a total amount of R$1.4T 24 billion distributed.
Despite expectations regarding the possible anticipation of PIS for those born in March, there has been no confirmation from the government or Caixa Econômica Federal. The next group, corresponding to those born in February, should receive the payment next Friday, April 15.
How to check PIS PASEP 2024 by CPF and withdraw the benefit?
To check PIS PASEP 2024 using CPF, the worker can choose from the different communication channels available. It is possible to check the balance through the following channels:
- Citizen's Gate;
- Digital Work Card application;
- Has Box;
- Worker Cashier;
- In addition to the Caixa ao Cidadão customer service telephone numbers: 111, 158 or 0800 726 0207.
Withdrawals of the respective benefits can be made in different ways, depending on the beneficiary's preference or availability. The beneficiary can opt for direct credit to an account, if they have an active Caixa account, withdraw from the bank's ATMs or lottery agencies with the Citizen Card, use the Caixa Tem app or even withdraw the amount directly at the nearest branch.
Requirements to be entitled to PIS/PASEP
To be eligible for PIS/PASEP in 2024, the worker must meet some criteria:
- It is mandatory to have received up to two monthly minimum wages with a signed employment contract during the previous payment year;
- In addition to having carried out remunerated activities for at least 30 days, consecutively or not;
- It is also necessary to have been registered with PIS/PASEP for at least five years and to have your information correctly updated by the employer in the Annual Social Information Report (RAIS).
PIS PASEP 2024 Table: check the values and dates
According to the current minimum wage of R$1,412.00 for 2024, workers who are entitled to PIS 2024 will receive amounts proportional to the contribution time according to the PIS PASEP 2024 table. Therefore, the amount to be received varies according to the months worked in 2022, the base year for calculating the payment.
