How will FGTS withdrawals via Pix work?
As announced by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, starting in January 2024, the FGTS will undergo changes in its collection method. One of the most anticipated innovations is the option to use Pix for transactions, preventing workers from having to go to a Caixa Econômica Federal branch to withdraw their benefit.

Another change is the payment deadline, which will be the twentieth day of next month. This change promises to make processes faster. For employers, the news also brings optimism.
The introduction of this new system will reduce the average time spent filling out the FGTS form from 34 hours/month to just 25 hours. Therefore, the transfer of FGTS funds, which previously took between three and five business days, will now occur almost instantly via Pix.

The reasons for this innovation include combating defaults, reducing bureaucratic procedures and, of course, providing more clarity in transactions.
