Nubank is a digital bank that was founded in 2013 and has gradually become popular with consumers. Today, the fintech is one of the most popular banking institutions in Brazil. With the aim of protecting its customers, the purple bank has launched a feature that integrates its security resources center.

This is Street Mode. This tool works like this: you add trusted Wi-Fi networks in the Nubank app settings. When you are not connected to any of them, the amount of transfers via Pix, TED and bill payments is limited.

This way, when you are on the go, using mobile data, you will not be able to transfer amounts that exceed the pre-defined spending limit. You will determine this limit when you choose to activate the function.

At this point, you will choose your spending limit for transactions outside your home. Enter the limit and confirm by clicking “Set maximum amount”. This is also when you register your secure Wi-Fi networks.

Remember that you can add more than one Wi-Fi network. Finally, just click “Done” and the operation will be complete.

Nubank Protection Center

Nubank has different features related to customer protection, with Street Mode being just one of them. There is also a Scam Alert (which notifies the customer when they are about to make a transfer to a suspicious account) and Smart Defenses.
