Bolsa Família is the federal government's national income transfer program. It aims to provide financial support to families in situations of social vulnerability. However, do you know how the monthly payments are made?
The benefit has pre-determined payment dates. These dates are defined based on the last digit of the NIS (Social Identification Number). This number is assigned to the citizen by Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF).
The NIS is mandatory for receiving some social benefits (such as Bolsa Família) and labor rights. There are different ways to check your NIS.

Find out your NIS and find out your Bolsa Família payment date
To find out your NIS, you can simply check your Bolsa Família card or the old Auxílio Brasil card, where the number appears right after the beneficiary's name.

You can also find your NIS in your Digital Work Card (app available for Android and IOS). You can also do this by entering the website from My INSS (or in the app, also for Android and IOS) and then looking for the “CNIS Links” option in the registration information.
You still have, however, the option to consult your NIS through the FGTS statement. Do this online by entering the website from Caixa Econômica Federal or FGTS application (Android and IOS).
