The October Gas Aid calendar is now available and payments should begin this Wednesday (18). The main objective of the program is to allow the low-income population to pay the price of a 13kg gas cylinder.

How can I transfer the amount of Gas Aid?
The Gas Aid benefit is deposited into a digital bank account provided by the account holder. However, if the beneficiary does not have an account, it is possible to create a Caixa digital savings account quickly and free of charge.
The person who receives the amount is the head of the family, preferably the woman, who must be indicated when registering for the benefit. For those who receive the BPC (Continuous Benefit Payment) payment will be made by the benefit holder or their legal guardian.
What is the value of the benefit?
Currently, Gas Aid covers 100% of average price of the 13kg cylinder, but it is important to note that this value may vary depending on the city of each Brazilian. In addition, the idea of covering the full cost of cooking gas came into effect after the constitutional amendment that increased the value of social benefits.
In other words, the value of the Aid is now double what it was. However, in 2024, according to information from Agência Brasil, the benefit will return to half the average price of the gas cylinder.
