Additionally, homeless people can also register to access benefits.

If you haven't registered yet, just go in person to a service center in your city. This is because despite being a government program, it is operated by city halls.

The Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) is a Brazilian government tool that aims to identify and characterize low-income families throughout the country. Created by the Ministry of Citizenship, CadÚnico is a database that serves as an instrument for collecting and managing socioeconomic information on Brazilian families in situations of social vulnerability.

About CadÚnico

CadÚnico is a registry that gathers detailed information about family composition, income, education, employment status, housing and other socioeconomic variables of registered families. The program focuses on low-income families, and registration is a condition for access to various social programs and benefits offered by the federal, state and municipal governments.

As stated before, registration with CadÚnico is a requirement for participation in important social programs, such as the Bolsa Família Program, the Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC), the Social Electricity Tariff, among others.
