Starting in April, low-income people will have an easier time buying their own home; check it out

Recently, CAIXA Econômica Federal announced a new development for housing finance that promises to change the lives of many Brazilian families. Thus, starting in April, contracts for this type of credit will begin using FGTS Futuro, which should make it easier for low-income people to realize their dream of owning their own home.

In this way, with the possibility of using FGTS Futuro, families will be able to supplement their income when financing a property, taking on two contracts: an original one, with the value in the traditional format, and another complementary one with FGTS Futuro. See more details!

Use of FGTS to purchase your own home

Initially, the FGTS Futuro program will only cover families with a monthly income of up to R$2,640, that is, those who are part of Band 1 of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program. Thus, these people will be able to use projections from the Severance Pay Guarantee Fund (FGTS), which is collected by employers, as part of the financing for their property.

However, one of the major concerns when taking out a mortgage is the risk of unemployment. Thus, the FGTS Futuro program, knowing this, provides special conditions to deal with such a situation.

The employer's contribution of 8% of the salary is the basis for the FGTS Futuro, and in the event of unemployment, while the borrower will not be able to withdraw the committed FGTS Futuro, he will have access to the fine of 40% in the event of dismissal without just cause. In addition, there will be possibilities for negotiation with Caixa, including the suspension of payment of installments for up to six months.

Financing in My Home, My Life

Finally, the FGTS allocated a significant budget for new hires within the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program, in addition to reserving additional resources for those not included in the program but who have an account with the Fund.

With interest rates ranging from 4% to 8,16% per year and payment terms of up to 35 years, Minha Casa, Minha Vida is consolidating itself as one of the main public housing policies in the country, now even more accessible with the inclusion of FGTS Futuro.
