Government calls on Bolsa Família beneficiaries for mandatory monitoring

Recently, the Municipal Government of Duque de Caxias, in Rio de Janeiro, through the Municipal Health Department (SMS) and the Municipal Department of Social Assistance and Human Rights (SMASDH), announced the mandatory period for the first health monitoring of the year 2024 for Bolsa Família beneficiaries.

Therefore, this monitoring, which is essential for continued receipt of the benefit, covers the period from January to June. This is an opportunity to check health status, update vaccinations and ensure the necessary assistance during pregnancy, thus contributing to the reduction of social and health vulnerabilities. Who should participate in the Bolsa Família monitoring?

Therefore, the focus of this monitoring is on children under seven years of age and on all women registered in the program, including pregnant women. Therefore, failure to do so may result in the benefit being blocked, a situation that everyone wants to avoid.

The procedures for carrying out this monitoring are simple. Thus, beneficiaries must go to a health unit in the municipality within the established period, which runs from January to June, bringing documents such as the Bolsa Família card, the children's updated vaccination record and the pregnant woman's record.
