Mega da Virada 2023 caught Brazil's attention on Sunday night (31) with the drawing of the extraordinary prize of R$ 588,891,021.22.

Thus, the numbers drawn were 21, 24, 33, 41, 48 and 56. The million-dollar prize was won by five bets, resulting in the division of the largest prize ever recorded in the Caixa Econômica Federal Lotteries. Each winner is destined to receive the impressive amount of 117,778,204.25.

Where are the winners from?

The lucky winners are located in the cities of:

  • Bom Despacho (MG);
  • Ipira (SC); 
  • Salvador (BA);
  • Redemption (PA).  

It is worth noting that one bet was made through Caixa's electronic channel. According to Caixa, prizes worth more than R$1,903.98 are redeemed exclusively at Caixa branches. Therefore, the ticket belongs to the holder, but the winner has the option of making it personal by writing his or her full name and CPF on the back of the winning bet receipt.

In the case of a lottery, each participant can follow the same procedure on the back of their individual receipt for their share. It is important to pay attention to the dates, since Caixa Lottery prizes are valid for 90 days from the date of the draw. After this period, the prize is allocated in full to the Higher Education Financing Fund (FIES), as established by Law 13,756/18.
