However, uncertainties remain regarding its launch. After all, when will Brazilians be able to access the Desenrola negotiation portal to settle their debts?

Regarding this, the Secretary of Economic Reforms at the Ministry of Finance, Marcos Barbosa Pinto, emphasized that the forecast for the launch of Desenrola is September. Learn more in depth about the program's phases.

Development phases of the Desenrola program

Starting the following month, the creditor registration procedure for the program will begin. This is an essential step because, in this way, creditors will be able to register for the “removal of negative credit listings” of debts of up to R$ 100 by financial institutions.

Therefore, the measure aims to allow only institutions that settle such debts to participate in the program. In August, the auction of credits begins, aiming to determine the program's beneficiaries.

In this auction, the creditors whose debts will receive the program's consideration and benefits will be selected. Finally, it will only be possible to access the platform to carry out negotiations in September.

Thus, anyone may participate and register, provided they meet the defined criteria. Below, see who the target audience of the federal government's debt renegotiation campaign is.

Who will be able to negotiate debts on the government's new portal?

There is an income-based separation within the program. In this scenario, people in tier 1, comprising approximately 40 million citizens, will have the chance to negotiate debts of up to R$ 5,000.

To qualify for this tier, the debts must have been incurred by December 31, 2022. In addition, it is essential to be registered with the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) and have an income of up to two minimum wages, corresponding to R$ 2,640.

By enabling the negotiation of these debts, the program aims to provide these people with a chance for financial relief, allowing them to restructure their finances and regain their economic stability.
