The Federal Government is about to introduce a program aimed at making airfares more affordable this month. Find out more! The project, called “Voa, Brasil,” proposes providing Brazilian citizens with airline tickets for a fixed fee of R$ 200.

“Voa, Brasil” will offer flights for R$ 200

According to Márcio França, the minister in charge, in a statement to the media, the program will maintain the established schedule. This means that the launch date of “Voa, Brasil” remains unchanged and is scheduled for August 31.
Retirees and pensioners will be the first to benefit from this initial phase of air travel. According to the ministry’s estimates, the expectation is that, over time, the program will distribute between 50,000 and 1.5 million tickets monthly.
Additionally, “Voa, Brasil” aims to make use of unsold seats during the months of low demand. The program is expected to reach its full capacity in approximately one year.
How to secure affordable flights through the Program?

The participating airlines, including Gol, Latam, Azul, and Voepass, will provide the tickets. The Ministry of Ports and Airports has already confirmed these companies’ participation, and they will operate without government investment.
Therefore, interested parties will gain access through a specific app. As França mentioned, “If [the individual] has not traveled in the last 12 months, they will be able to purchase up to four tickets.” The first beneficiaries will be, as mentioned, retirees and pensioners.
Additionally, students and public employees with incomes of up to R$ 6.8 thousand will be the next groups to benefit from this program in the near future.
