Based on the recent government project “Desenrola Brasil,” aimed at renegotiating debts, merchants are adopting the same tactic and implementing their own initiatives to help customers resolve their outstanding debts.
This initiative gives consumers the opportunity to settle debts incurred through payment booklets and non-conventional cards, that is, cards accepted only at the respective stores.

Before proceeding, it is important to provide some brief context so that you can better understand what happened with this initiative since its launch.
In June, the Ministry of Economy announced that the Desenrola Brasil program would be regulated through an ordinance, seeking to simplify negotiations between banks, creditors, and the federal government.
According to the Ministry, the program would be made available through an online negotiation platform starting in September. However, before that, interested financial institutions and creditors would have to register.
However, in a surprise decision on July 17, the government decided to speed up the stages of Desenrola Brasil and start negotiations directly with the banks, eliminating the selection of proposals announced by the companies.
In light of recent reports on the program’s success, major retailers decided to adopt this proposal, offering exclusive benefits to their customers. Shall we look at all the details about this new development?

These three major retail companies decided to bring forward the program’s benefits to offer better opportunities to their customers.
According to information from Via, the company that controls the Casas Bahia and Ponto brands, customers will have the advantage of paying their payment books without interest or late fees.
In addition, special conditions will be offered for debt renegotiation. Among the available options, installment payments of up to 36 months stand out, with no interest charged.
Customers will also be able to enjoy a reduced down payment and receive special discounts when settling debts, with these offers being assessed individually.
It is important to note that these renegotiation opportunities will be available at both companies until August 31. Another convenience is that customers will be able to make agreements online, making the process faster and easier.

Through its financial institution, Realize CFI, the retailer offers its customers:
- Discounts of up to 98% of the amount owed;
- Payment in up to 48 installments.
How to carry out the renegotiations?
Casas Bahia offers customers two options for making a payment agreement. The first is in person, allowing customers to visit any of the company's physical stores.
The second option is to make the agreement online, providing convenience through the Casas Bahia Carnê Portal, the company's Carnê WhatsApp, or the banQi app.
In addition, consumers also have the option of contacting the Customer Service Center by calling 0800 025 8880.
As for Ponto, since it belongs to the same company as Casas Bahia, the options are the same. However, the Customer Service Center can be reached by calling 0800 022 1400.
Finally, Renner customers have access to Realize's official channels, a partner responsible for financial services.
