Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) is a Federal Government program that identifies and characterizes low-income families in Brazil. Through it, families can access various social programs, such as Bolsa Família, the Social Electricity Tariff, the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC), and many others.
Who can register with CadÚnico?
Families with a monthly per capita household income below R$ 606.00 or families with a total monthly household income of up to R$ 3,636.00.

How to apply?
- CRAS: Visit the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) closest to your home;
- Bolsa Família service center: Go to a Bolsa Família service center in your city;
- CadÚnico app: Download the app CadÚnico app on your cellphone and follow the instructions.
Required documents:
- Photo ID for all family members;
- CPF numbers for all family members;
- Up-to-date proof of residence;
- Birth or marriage certificates for all family members;
- Employment card for all family members (if applicable);
- Proof of income for all family members (if applicable).
Accessible social programs:
- Bolsa Família:Transfers income monthly to families living in poverty and extreme poverty;
- Social Electricity Tariff:Discount on the electricity bill for low-income families;
- Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC): A monthly minimum wage for people with disabilities and elderly people aged 65 or over who are unable to work;
- Auxílio Brasil: Program income transfer program that replaced Bolsa Família;
- Elderly Person’s ID Card: Discounts on public transportation, medications, and other services for people aged 60 or over;
- Minha Casa Minha Vida: Program housing program of the Federal Government.
