The Federal Revenue Service will make the fifth and final batch of the 2023 Individual Income Tax (IRPF) refund available on September 29. As a result, taxpayers will be able to check the payment and refund status starting today, Friday (22).
The release process began on May 31, initially benefiting priority taxpayers. It is worth noting that the Federal Revenue Service adjusts the amount paid according to the Selic Rate. Keep reading for more information!

Batches
So far, the Federal Revenue Service has already released 4 batches, allowing more than 20 million taxpayers to receive their payments. See:
1st batch: May 31 – 4,129,925 taxpayers – settled;
2nd batch: June 30 – 5,138,476 taxpayers – settled;
3rd batch: July 31 – 5,632,036 taxpayers – settled;
4th batch: August 31 – 6,118,310 taxpayers – settled;
5th batch: September 29.

To check, follow the steps below:
- Visit the IR Refund website;
- Enter your CPF and date of birth;
- Click “My Income Tax”;
- Finally, choose “Check Refund”.
Additionally, you can obtain a more detailed processing statement through e-CAC, where you can also check for possible issues with your individual income tax returns. If you entered the wrong account for the refund deposit, the credit can be rescheduled through Banco do Brasil customer service.

It is crucial to note that for those who chose to receive the refund via Pix, the key used by the Receita will be the CPF number. If the payment still has not been received, it is necessary to contact the Receita Federal directly.
