Caixa Econômica Federal has launched an exclusive proposal. It is a withdrawal of R$6,220, available to residents of several locations, with a focus on Southern Brazil. In addition, applicants have the option to submit their request online, avoiding travel to a bank branch.

The FGTS withdrawal option for disasters is intended for residents of areas affected by natural disasters. Therefore, workers who have not made withdrawals under the same criterion (public calamity) within a period of less than 12 months and who have a balance in the guarantee fund may apply.
In which cities is the R$6,000 withdrawal at Caixa permitted?

The withdrawal option covers locations in Alagoas, Rio Grande do Sul, and Santa Catarina. Thus, each city has its own deadline, generally established after the declaration of a local state of public calamity.
Therefore, see below the deadlines set by Caixa:
- Caraá, Esteio, Maquiné, and Praia Grande – until September 20;
- Gravataí, Guaíba and Montenegro – until September 21;
- Brochier, Rolante, São Sebastião do Caí, Sapiranga, Sapucaia do Sul and Teutônia – until September 25;
- Feliz, Pareci Novo and Portão – until September 26;
- Araricá, Campo Bom, Dois Irmãos, Ivoti, Santo Antônio da Patrulha, São José do Hortêncio and Tupandi – until September 27;
- Lindolfo Collor and Novo Hamburgo – until October 1;
- São Leopoldo and Viamão – until October 2;
- Atalaia, Branquinha, Jacuípe, Matriz de Camaragibe, Murici, Penedo and Viçosa – until October 7;
- Sede Novo – until October 19;
- Vera Cruz – until October 31.
How to submit the request?

- Open the FGTS app (Android and iOS);
- Log in;
- Select “My withdrawals”;
- Choose “Other withdrawal situations — Public calamity” and identify your city;
- Upload an image of your document and proof of address, which must be registered in the applicant’s name and dated within 3 months before the calamity announcement;
- Select an account to receive the amount;
- Submit your request and wait up to 5 calendar days.
