The final installment of the Income Tax refund will be credited this week to more than one million individuals. Find out the details!
This Friday (29), the Federal Revenue Service will release the 5th and final batch of Income Tax refunds. On this occasion, more than 1.2 million taxpayers will benefit, totaling R$ 1.9 billion to be distributed.

As usual, the batch will receive an adjustment based on the Selic rate, which is currently 12.75% per year. In this case, the amounts will undergo a 4.28% adjustment. Thus, if the taxpayer is entitled to R$ 1,000 in refunds, they will receive the full amount of R$ 1,042.80.

Since the previous week, specifically since August 22, Brazilian citizens have been able to check information about the final Income Tax refund batch through the official Treasury website.
Income Tax refund inquiry
To obtain details about the Income Tax refund, taxpayers can access the Federal Revenue Service's online portal. They simply need to enter the required information, and all the details will appear on the screen.
Thus, the Federal Revenue Service will deposit the refund amount into the bank account designated by the individual during the filing. However, if this does not occur, it will be necessary to schedule a new appointment through the Banco do Brasil Portal.
Details of the latest batch
According to clarifications from the Federal Revenue Service, the 5th and final batch of the Income Tax refund includes:
- People over 80 years old: 7,402;
- People between 60 and 79 years old: 57,572;
- Filers with disabilities or serious illnesses: 6,847;
- Individuals whose main source of income is teaching: 19,864;
- Filers who chose the pre-filled return or opted to receive the refund via Pix: 141,577;
- Non-priority filers who submitted their return by September 15: 1,027,838.
