This Thursday (06), the state government announced the advance payment of the first installment of the 13th salary for state public servants. Thus, as the governor guaranteed, payments will take place on October 5 and 6.

Governor Helder Barbalho and Deputy Governor Hana Ghassan highlighted in a video that this is the fifth consecutive year in which the State of Pará has managed to bring forward this payment. This decision coincides with the time when the entire state mobilizes for the Círio de Nazaré festivities.

The head of state said in a video: “Hello, women and men who work for the State of Pará. Hana and I have great news and a spoiler to share. As has been the case since 2019, you will receive the first installment of the 13th salary before Círio,” he announced. Check out the full statement:
This measure will benefit both active and inactive civil servants. The goal, in the governor’s words, is to provide an even more special celebration. Therefore, the state is organizing to advance the 13th salary payment to more than 106,000 public servants.
According to the data, the initiative is only viable due to the state’s sound financial management. The government of Pará will invest R$ 306 million in the local economy. With the 13th salary payment brought forward, the state administration believes there will be a significant boost to the economy of the entire region.

The festival represents a broad celebration and expresses the devotion of the state’s citizens to Our Lady of Nazaré, scheduled for October 08.
