Bolsa Família payments began yesterday (18), so all families with NIS 1 and those who were entitled to the early withdrawal received the benefit. In addition, Bolsa Família has also made a new additional benefit available.
It is worth noting that the families who were able to receive the payment early are those living in cities where a state of emergency was declared. In addition, the new additional benefit is available to all families with babies up to six months old among their members.

Who can receive the Bolsa Família additional benefit?
The new Bolsa Família additional benefit was named the Nutritious Family Variable Benefit (BVN) and will be directed to families with babies up to six months old among their members. Thus, the amount is already valid this month, meaning that those who are entitled to it will receive it in this payment.
It is worth highlighting that if there are more than two children in the indicated condition, the family receives double, and in the case of three children, the amount is R$ 150. This new measure will benefit 287,150 families throughout the country. Therefore, the government expects to invest R$ 14 million in the BVN within up to 6 months.

Other benefits
It is important to mention that the social program includes other additional benefits, namely:
- R$ 50 for children and adolescents aged 7 to 17;
- R$ 150 per child up to 6 years old;
- R$ 50 per pregnant or breastfeeding woman.
