Bolsa Família started payments today, and everyone whose NIS ends in 1 will receive the amount. However, the federal government authorized early withdrawals for families in the Amazon region who suffered losses due to the drought.

Who will receive the amount early?
In October, beneficiaries of the program in 322 cities across the country will receive it earlier than expected. Thus, residents of Amazonas, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul will receive the money today (18), regardless of their NIS number; see how many cities there are:
- Amazonas: 56 municipalities;
- Rio Grande do Sul: 106 municipalities;
- Santa Catarina: 160 municipalities.
It is worth noting that the federal government declared a state of emergency and public calamity in these regions. In addition, 23 more cities were placed under a state of emergency yesterday.

Who can receive Bolsa Família?

- School attendance for children and adolescents aged 4 to 17;
- Prenatal care for pregnant women;
- Nutritional monitoring for children up to 7 years old;
- Up-to-date vaccination schedule.
