Bolsa Família began payments this Wednesday (18), so beneficiaries whose NIS ends in 1 will receive theirs. Thus, this month the government has a new benefit: an extra amount! Families with babies under seven months old will receive an additional R$ 50.

Extra Bolsa Família payment
As mentioned earlier, the BVN (Nursing Family Variable Benefit) is intended for families with babies, and the amount will be R$ 50. Therefore, those with two children at home will receive twice as much, and those with three will receive R$ 150.
It is important to note that 287,150 families across the country will receive the amount in October. The expectation is that the government will invest R$ 14 million in the BVN within 6 months.
Other benefits
Bolsa Família pays a minimum of R$ 600, but in addition to this amount there are other benefits, such as the additional R$ 150 for families with children up to six years old. There is also an additional R$ 50 for families with children aged 7 to 1 years or adolescents aged 12 to 18.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women also receive an additional R$ 50 in benefits. In other words, in May of this year, the program’s average amount was R$ 672.

- NIS ending in 1 – October 18;
- NIS ending in 2 – October 19;
- NIS ending in 3 – October 20;
- NIS ending in 4 – October 23;
- NIS ending in 5 – October 24;
- NIS ending in 6 – October 25;
- NIS ending in 7 – October 26;
- NIS ending in 8 – October 27;
- NIS ending in 9 – October 30;
- Final NIS 0 – October 31.
