A government decision brings the R$ 850 Pix directly to Brazilians. This action is part of a series of interventions aimed at residents of municipalities in critical states, whether due to disaster or emergency. In addition, basic food supplies and sanitation kits will be delivered.

Of the 62 municipalities in Amazonas, 58 are facing an emergency due to the persistent drought. Thus, the government has established a group of urgent actions to support residents affected by the lack of rainfall and falling river levels.
One of the measures includes an R$ 850 Pix and another of R$ 800, which the government will deposit into individuals' accounts. However, to qualify, citizens must meet specific criteria related to income and housing.
Who is eligible for the government's R$ 850 Pix?
The R$ 850 Pix promoted by the government aims to benefit farmers, extractivists, and fishermen affected by the drought. However, to qualify, individuals must prove a monthly income of 1.5 minimum wages (R$ 1,980).
The amount of R$ 800, on the other hand, is intended for 200 residents of Beruri affected by a landslide. This amount serves as temporary support for those unable to return to their homes.

The R$ 850 Pix is not the only financial contribution that the government will allocate to the people of Amazonas.
The government also announced the early transfer of essential social program benefits. Accordingly, Bolsa Família beneficiaries in the region will have the funds available on October 19. Those enrolled in BPC, in turn, will receive the amount on October 25.
