Nearly 815,000 people have the opportunity to withdraw more than R$1,000. The Central Bank (BC) provides this opportunity through the introduction of the Receivables System (SVR). According to information from the institution, more than 37 million individuals and legal entities may withdraw the unclaimed money, totaling R$7.3 billion.

The institution introduced the second phase of the SVR in March this year, postponing it for a few months because of the employees' strike. Since then, individuals and companies have been allowed to check and subsequently request unclaimed money from closed accounts with balances, undue fees, among other reasons.

37 million individuals may withdraw unclaimed money from the BC
In summary, the largest portion of the money available for withdrawal amounts to R$5.853 billion, belonging to individuals (approximately 37.5 million). Meanwhile, the remainder, totaling R$1.445 billion, is available for withdrawal by approximately 2.9 million CNPJs.
Not all beneficiaries have significant amounts to withdraw. Although nearly 815,000 may recover more than R$ 1,000, almost 29 million may receive amounts no greater than R$ 10. In addition, some segments of the total billions are allocated to:
- 11,610,437 beneficiaries who can withdraw between R$ 10.01 and R$ 100;
- 4,691,484 beneficiaries who have the possibility of withdrawing amounts between R$ 100.01 and R$ 1,000.

How to check?
Those who have not yet checked whether they have forgotten money to claim should use the official system. Therefore, it is necessary to:
- Visit the BC website;
- Click on “Check receivable amounts”;
- Provide the date of birth and CPF or the company’s incorporation date and CNPJ;
- Complete the security verification;
- Finally, click on “Check”.
If the check reveals results, the person will need to begin the process of requesting the money. In this situation, they will have to return to the main screen, click on “Access the Receivable Values System” and log in with their gov.br account (silver or gold level).
