Last Tuesday (26), the government announced an additional benefit for some citizens. On that occasion, the Economy Minister announced the creation of another form of assistance for people, aimed at mitigating the impact of inflation on household financial planning.
Currently, Argentina is facing serious economic instability intensified by high inflation rates and the continuous depreciation of the national currency. Thus, the Argentine government has been implementing bonuses and assistance programs with the intention of supporting the population during this period of adversity.

This week, it was revealed that government support will include self-employed workers as the next beneficiaries. This contribution is expected to reach 2 to 3 million Argentines working in the informal sector.
How will the bonus for self-employed workers work?
As stated by Argentina's Economy Minister, Sergio Massa, self-employed workers will receive 94,000 pesos later this year, equivalent to R$ 1,352.29, distributed in two installments of 47,000 pesos, one in October and the other in November.
When asked about the source of the funds for this bonus, Massa clarified that they come from advance tax payments by major banks and financial institutions. He confirmed that the corporations have already been notified about this advance payment.
The announcement of a new bonus by the Argentine government comes a few weeks before the October 22 elections, in which Sergio Massa is a candidate.

According to data provided by the government, only self-employed workers who do not receive other government benefits are eligible to receive the 94,000-peso bonus. In addition, an analysis of the individuals' financial situations will be conducted before determining who will receive the transfers.
Those who wish to apply for the bonus can already register on the official portal of the Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social (Anses).
