How do I know if I will receive it?
To find out about your situation, you need to access the platform and follow these steps:
- Select “My Income Tax (DIRPFF Extract);
- Click on “Processing”;
- Select “Mesh Pending Issues”;
- Check your status.
It is important to highlight that the IRS provides another means of communication, the “Post Office Box”. Therefore, to access this means of communication, simply open the page e-CAC and select “Other” and then “Post Office Box”.
In addition, on the e-CAC portal you can check more details such as pending issues and find out if you have been caught in the fine mesh, which is quite common.
What is fine mesh?
The term “fine mesh” refers to a process in which the Federal Revenue Service, upon receiving a taxpayer’s tax return, performs a detailed analysis of the documents provided. Thus, when someone “falls into the fine mesh”, this indicates the presence of inconsistencies in the information presented by the taxpayer.
It is important to note that this scenario does not necessarily imply that the declaration is incorrect. Instead, it suggests that there are discrepancies between the information provided by the taxpayer and that reported by other entities that also file tax returns, such as companies and health plans.
