Millions will have the chance to restructure their debts as early as October. Here's how!
Next month, millions of Brazilian citizens will have a valuable chance to restructure their debts. This is thanks to the new phase of the program Unroll Brazil, an initiative of the Federal Government. In this cycle, those who have debts of up to R$5,000 and have an income of up to two minimum wages (R$2,640) will be included.

The next stage of the government's restructuring plan begins in October
Desenrola has already managed to restructure R$13.2 billion in the initial phase, focused on bank debts. Currently, with the new phase, the plan encompasses band 1, also covering those registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico).

There is a forecast to restructure approximately R$50 billion in debts, considering that 40 million citizens fall into this category. In addition, for consumers to benefit from the restructuring, they need to have an account on the Gov.br portal, either silver or gold level. More information is available here.

Auction between entities adhering to the plan has already started

On Monday (25), the auction organized by the Federal Government among the entities that joined the restructuring plan began. Thus, those that propose the largest discounts will be the winners. In addition, these entities will receive resources from the Operations Guarantee Fund (FGO).
Consequently, the Federal Budget will allocate R$1.4T 8 billion to cover possible defaults resulting from the restructuring of customers' debts. Around 709 creditors have updated their debts and have the possibility of participating in the auction. However, as of the 13th of last month, the number of entities was higher: 924 had voluntarily registered.
