Today, Wednesday (25), the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) began making benefit payments to its beneficiaries. This measure serves a large portion of Brazilians, reaching approximately 38 million people.

Therefore, it is essential for INSS retirees and beneficiaries to monitor the dates and stages to ensure the correct transfer of the amounts owed. Below, we provide details about who can receive INSS payments today, as well as instructions for accessing the payment schedule and checking the available balance.

INSS payments in October
First, to find out the date set by the INSS for receiving the payment, it is necessary to look at the last number on the benefit card, disregarding the check digit after the hyphen. For example, for the number “123456789-0”, the relevant number is 9.
Therefore, we have listed the INSS schedule for October, according to the benefit amount:
For beneficiaries with an income of up to one minimum wage (R$ 1,320):
- Final NIS number 1: October 25;
- Final NIS number 2: October 26;
- Final NIS number 3: October 27;
- Final NIS number 4: October 30;
- Final NIS number 5: October 31;
- Final NIS number 6: November 01;
- Final NIS number 7: November 03;
- Final NIS number 8: November 06;
- Final NIS number 9: November 07;
- Final NIS 0: November 08.
For beneficiaries with an income above R$ 1,320:
- Final NIS 1 and 6: November 01;
- Final NIS 2 and 7: November 03;
- Final NIS 3 and 8: November 06;
- Final NIS 4 and 9: November 07;
- Final NIS 5 and 0: November 08.

Retirees and pensioners can access details about their payments on the Meu INSS website or app, available for Android and iOS. Then, select the “Benefit payment statement” option.
Another option for accessing details about INSS amounts is to call the Service Center at 135, operating from Monday to Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. You will need to provide your CPF and verify some information.
Finally, it is important to mention that, when withdrawing amounts at banks or lottery outlets, additional documents may be requested, in addition to the beneficiary’s card.
