Check the appointments published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Thursday (15). Is your name on the list?
The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) appointed 986 new employees this Thursday through a publication in the Official Gazette of the Union. These newly appointed professionals will serve as social security technicians throughout the country, and must take office within 30 days. According to the law, they have up to 45 days to begin their work activities.
However, it is believed that most of these appointed professionals will take up their positions as soon as possible, given that the public examination held was highly competitive, with more than one million candidates. Furthermore, the Institute aims to quickly address the staff shortage. Learn more about the INSS appointments below.
Call-up announcement
Carlos Lupi (PDT), Minister of Social Security, announced the appointment of the civil servants on June 7 through his social media accounts. He emphasized that this is “excellent news! We are making progress and, with this additional reinforcement, we will work to restore the dignity of Brazilians who seek Social Security”.
Although Lupi made the announcement, authorization for the appointments was only published on June 12, the Monday of the previous week. According to the list of vacancies released by INSS, there are 1,003 positions to fill nationwide.
However, Thursday’s Official Gazette of the Union includes the summons of 986 new civil servants. Thus, the appointment of the others may take place soon, after some legal issues are resolved. The expectation is that up to 3,385 new employees will be hired before the selection process expires.
What will the work be like for those recently summoned?
Employees who take on the positions will have a 40-hour weekly workload and receive a starting salary of R$ 5,905.79.
