Recently, on Saturday (9), Caixa Econômica Federal made an additional withdrawal from the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) available. This refers to the emergency withdrawal, intended for employees who live in the cities of Jóia and São Lourenço do Sul, located in Rio Grande do Sul.
Furthermore, this resource was made available after the Municipal Civil Defense declared a state of public calamity in these locations, due to the consequences of the cyclone that devastated the region at the beginning of September. Therefore, these individuals have the opportunity to withdraw up to R$ 6,220.00 from their respective FGTS accounts. Learn more about the details!

Who qualifies for the FGTS emergency withdrawal?
In this situation, those who have a balance in their fund accounts are eligible for the FGTS emergency withdrawal, provided their address is validated by the Municipal Civil Defense and they have not made withdrawals for similar reasons in the past twelve months.

- Open the FGTS app (compatible with Android and iOS);
- Tap “My Withdrawals”;
- Choose “Other withdrawal situations – Public Calamity”;
- Choose your city of residence;
- Provide the documents required by the system (see below);
- Choose the method for depositing the amount;
- Provide the details of an account for the deposit;
- After verification, within a maximum of 5 days, the amount will be in the specified account.
