Launched in March this year, the Entrepreneur Restart Aid (ARE) will grant holders of a National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ) up to R$ 4,000 in financial assistance. Additionally, merchants without a CNPJ will also have the opportunity to obtain up to R$ 2,000.

Thus, this Wednesday (27), the Municipal Administration of Rio Branco, in Acre, made the website for registering for the Entrepreneur Restart Aid available. Through it, entrepreneurs and merchants affected by the rise of the Acre River and the overflowing of streams will be able to register until October 13 and thereby secure the emergency benefit. Emergency Aid
In short, the conception of the Restart program involved the active participation of the teams from the Commercial, Industrial, Service and Agricultural Association of Acre (Acisa), which were responsible for determining the number of microentrepreneurs affected by the climate events.
Therefore, in March, when the program was launched, the Municipal Administration allocated R$ 5 billion in support. Of this amount, R$ 3 million was directed to the Municipal Executive and R$ 2 million to amendments proposed by the mayor's allied council members.

As explained by Wilson Leite, Municipal Secretary of Finance, merchants who meet the criteria for receiving the aid must demonstrate that they suffered losses due to the floods. Thus, the municipal government will be able to determine the amount of the aid.
At dawn on March 24 of this year, the flooding of the Acre River affected approximately 75,000 people, forcing more than 15,400 residents to leave their homes. Therefore, nearly 100,000 residents experienced the impacts of the rising levels of the river and streams. In view of this situation, the local government declared a state of emergency in the area.
