Last Tuesday (03), the Central Bank held the 20th plenary session of the Pix Forum. During the meeting, they discussed future guidelines for the instant payment system and potential security enhancements. Additionally, the institution revealed the updated schedule for Pix Automático.

This new feature has generated a lot of anticipation and will work as an even more convenient automatic debit for users. According to Carlos Eduardo Brandt, director of the Pix Management and Operations Department, the new feature is being built in an adaptable way to meet various needs.

In this context, it is worth remembering that the Central Bank had previously presented an initial schedule, planning to launch Pix Automático in April 2024. However, this plan underwent changes and the launch was postponed.
Detailed Pix Automático schedule
Considering the updates, the current Pix Automático schedule is as follows:
- November 2023: definition;
- December 2023: publication of guides and standards;
- From January to August 2024: system development;
- From August to September 2024: testing phase;
- October 2024: launch.
Thus, there is a six-month delay relative to the launch compared to the original plan.
