The payment of the Gas Aid in 2024 will only be made in February. This benefit, granted every two months, had its last installment distributed in December. Therefore, despite this bimonthly characteristic, payments will follow the schedule already defined for Bolsa Família.

There will be a significant change in the amount provided in the following month. Therefore, according to the government's announcement, the amount of aid in 2024 will be reduced, representing 50% of the cost of a 13kg gas cylinder.

As usual, the value of the installment is calculated considering 100% of the national average price of a 13kg gas cylinder. Therefore, in December, this value is estimated at R$ 104.

How to avoid the suspension of Gas Aid?

Keeping data updated in the Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) is crucial to avoid suspension of the Gas Aid. This registry, managed by the federal government, is the source of information that determines eligibility and payment of the benefit.

In other words, anyone who does not update their data runs the imminent risk of losing their benefits. Therefore, it is essential to carry out updates whenever there are changes in family composition, income or other relevant data.
