How to withdraw PIS/Pasep quotas
If the contributor does not withdraw the funds by August 05, the Caixa Econômica Federal announced that the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) will transfer the unclaimed funds to the National Treasury.
The request can be made online, without the worker needing to be physically present at a Caixa branch. Therefore, to withdraw your share, first download the FGTS app (available for Android and iOS).
Afterwards, access the app and select the message “You have an available balance” on the main screen, if applicable. Then, simply click “Request the withdrawal of PIS/Pasep”.
Next, choose the appropriate withdrawal method, such as credit to an account (at any bank) or in-person withdrawal. Finally, the taxpayer must confirm the information and click “Confirm withdrawal” to complete the process.
Withdrawal for heirs
The legal heirs of deceased workers must also access their respective FGTS app to receive the shares. They should therefore request the withdrawal of the amounts under “My Withdrawals”. Immediately afterwards, click “Other Withdrawal Situations”.
