With Good Friday approaching, it is important to be aware that the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) agencies will be closed, following the national holiday calendar. This means that policyholders will not be able to go to the agencies in person to make requests or receive in-person assistance.
However, despite the closure of INSS agencies this Friday (29), policyholders still have some options to request benefits during the holiday, such as the Meu INSS website and app and the Call Center by calling 135. See more details!
Requesting INSS benefits on a holiday
Therefore, as previously stated, even during the Good Friday holiday, insured persons can request various benefits from the INSS, including:

- Retirements;
- Sickness benefit;
- Survivor's pension;
- Maternity pay
- Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC)
- Between others.
To do this, you need to follow the steps below:
- Access the website or Meu INSS application (available for Android and iOS);
- Enter your CPF and access password;
- Click on “New Order”;
- Enter the benefit you wish to request in the indicated field;
- Select the desired benefit;
- Enter your details;
- Read the text displayed on the screen and follow the instructions;
- Finally, note down the protocol number to track the request.
Payments
In addition, it is worth remembering that there will also be no benefit payments this Friday, according to the official INSS calendar. Therefore, payments will continue until Thursday and will then resume on Monday (1st). Check out the payment schedule for the month of March:
