Bolsa Família began payments today and everyone with NIS number ending in 1 will receive the amount. However, the federal government authorized early withdrawal for families in the Amazon region who suffered losses due to the drought.
In addition, families from Rio Grande do Sul will also be included, as they experienced difficulties with the cyclone that affected the region.
Who will receive the amount first?
In October, beneficiaries of the program in 322 cities in the country will receive it earlier than expected. Thus, residents of Amazonas, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul will receive the money today (18) regardless of the NIS number, check how many cities there will be:
- Amazonas: 56 municipalities;
- Rio Grande do Sul: 106 municipalities;
- Santa Catarina: 160 municipalities.
It is worth noting that the federal government has declared a state of emergency and public calamity in these regions. In addition, yesterday another 23 cities were included in a state of emergency.

Who can receive Bolsa Família?
Bolsa Família, like other social programs of the federal government, has certain requirements. Therefore, see below what is necessary to gain access to the income redistribution program:
- School attendance for children and adolescents aged 4 to 17;
- Prenatal care for pregnant women;
- Nutritional monitoring of children up to 7 years old;
- Vaccination schedule up to date.
