See the updated amounts for October. This October, the Family Financial Assistance Program, better known as Bolsa Família, revised its amounts. As a result, this could mean a significant increase in aid for many Brazilians. In addition, the agency in question announced plans to make late payments to those whose benefits were interrupted but are now regularized.
By combining the Benefit bonuses with the outstanding amounts, in some situations, some groups could obtain a total of R$ 2,620. However, it is worth noting that this occurs in specific situations.

R$ 2,620 in Bolsa Família: What do you mean?
The additional payments will benefit those who have updated their information on CadÚnico and who meet all the criteria. Therefore, the payment process began last Wednesday (18), making the October payment calendar for the Benefit now active.
The amount of R$ 2,620 is intended exclusively for Bolsa Família beneficiaries who are from families of ten members. However, they must also be eligible to receive late payments. Thus, the individual amount assured by the program, of R$ 142, can total R$ 1,420, with an additional two installments of R$ 600 for the months when the aid was interrupted.
As already indicated, this is an exception. The other payments will follow their normal course, plus the new bonuses of R$ 50 and R$ 150 for certain groups.
Adjusted aid values
With the inclusion of the new bonuses, the Bolsa Família amounts are as follows:
- R$ 142 per individual;
- R$ 150 for children under 6 years old;
- R$ 50 for children and adolescents aged 7 to 18;
- R$ 50 for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
These amounts are available via the Caixa Tem app (compatible with Android and iOS). However, beneficiaries can also withdraw them directly at banks, lottery outlets or at Caixa Aqui points.
Registration for Bolsa Família: How to do it?
To apply for the Benefit, you must first be registered with CadÚnico. To do so, look for a Cadastro Único and Bolsa Família service center in your area.
Families eligible for the Single Registry are those with a monthly income per person of up to half the minimum wage or those in a vulnerable situation, even with a higher income. It is not mandatory for all family members to be present at the time of the interview. If you are over 16 and preferably a woman, you can register your entire family. The person who provides the information becomes the Responsible for the Family Unit (RF) in the Single Registry.
It is crucial to bring documents such as CPF, ID, proof of address, income, school enrollment for children under 17 years old and work card when registering. To keep the information up to date, check the registration every two years. In addition, update it whenever there are changes, such as birth, death, change of address or change of school of the children.
